ENVIRONMENT AND STUDIO SPACE
The ZhongGuanCun SOHO building consists of intelligent dual office towers, arched in shape and designed by the “Ministry of Design”, the winner of the coveted President’s Design Award 2006, Singapore’s highest design accolade.
The green design adds environmental friendliness to what is a commercially vibrant space. Whether it is the green landscape surrounding the building or the public fixtures indoors and out, both manifest a keen sense of aesthetics. This works to satisfy the sophisticated tastes of the contemporary city dwellers and professionals, whilst being located in a highly-desirable, prosperous core of Zhongguancun commercial centre.
Our Beijing studio will function as a collaborative hub which aspiring students, freelancers, alumni and a network of schools and universities may use to encourage international collaboration and creative flair in the early stages of foundation study or post-study careers, be that working independently or as a kick-starter platform for collectives.
Furthermore, communication between Chinese and International students in these stages will further break down the barriers in transitioning from study in China – to studying overseas. Therefore, the Hub aims to connect like-minded students and encourage communication and collaboration, with special attention to the areas and institutions of the students desired study destinations.
As Chinese students have a number of study destinations to choose from, CAA will also assist students in their applications to UK / US undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. Further to this, our Studio is a place where returning students can base themselves, gain teaching and guidance experience, as well as become more employable via a number of career opportunities deriving from this exciting new space.
